Digitherm Digitial Thermal imaging

Why should your pet get screened?

Fast, Non invasive thermal screenings give your veterinarian valuable information about your pet's wellness that they can't get any other way.

  • Quickly detect unseen pain
  • Treat hidden conditions earlier
  • Improve/monitor current treatment outcomes

How does thermal imaging work?

Thermal imaging measures radiated energy from your pet's skin. Differences in radiated energy can indicate problems in your pet's body.

Hotter areas depict increases in circulation and cooler areas show decreases in circulation.

These changes can assist your veterinarian in early detection and location of disease symptoms in your pet

Monitor Therapeutic Plans

Visually monitor Pre/Post therapeutic sessions to help adjust treatment plans sooner than later.

What does it take to for a clinically accepted Thermal Image?

Step 1 -  A veterinarian grade thermal imaging camera complete with an rigorous training program.

Step 2 - A climate controlled  indoor imaging room with no background interference.

Step 3 - The patient will need to accumulate for a minimum of 1 to 2 hours after arriving in a fully shaded area with no wind, sun, blankets, collars, harnesses, hair braided if it applies before entering the room and no fly sprays.

Step 4 - The patient will then be placed in the climate controlled 60 degree room for an average of 15 to 20 minutes to acclimate to the new temperature. (no body will be allowed to touch the patient from here on out as it will skew the results)

Step 5 - We will then proceed to take bilateral symmetrical images of the entire body.

Step 6 - Your images will then be thoroughly examined and adjusted (this process is not taken likely as an unhonest thermographer can easily cause false asymmetry. )

Step 7 - Here at L2 Acuscoping we do have the accessibility to send these images over to 10 different veterinarians who specialize in reading images to receive their professional findings if needed.
